𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗛𝗢𝗕𝗜𝗧 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱: 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆

On May 17, 2025, COSWOHI stands in solidarity with the global community to mark the International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT).

This day honors the courage of LGBTQIA+ individuals and commemorates the World Health Organization’s 1990 decision to remove homosexuality from the list of mental disorders—a turning point in the fight for dignity and equality.

This year’s theme, The Power of Communities, shines a light on the strength, resilience, and unity of 2SLGBTQI+ communities. It also recognizes the advocates and human rights defenders who work tirelessly—often at great personal risk—to challenge discrimination and uphold justice.

𝘊𝘖𝘚𝘞𝘖𝘏𝘐 𝘳𝘦𝘮𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘴 𝘥𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘮𝘪𝘵𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘶𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘷𝘦, 𝘴𝘢𝘧𝘦, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘧𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘱𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥, 𝘷𝘢𝘭𝘶𝘦𝘥, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘧𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘭𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺. 𝘞𝘦 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘴𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘩𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘪𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘱𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘪𝘵𝘺. 𝘊𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘢𝘬 𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘰𝘨𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰𝘸𝘢𝘳𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘺.
